Hey check it out!
My short story, “Sixteen Pieces at a Time“, has been posted over at SFReader.com. It won 3rd place in the 4th Annual Firebrand Fiction/SFReader Short Story Contest – 2005.

Give it a read. Check out the 1st and 2nd place winners too.

  1. I feel a slight rant here.
I read the first place story, and I understand that the judges opinions are final and subjective. Shouldn’t the first place story be readable…

I could not get into the story at all. It jumped around and was very difficult to read. My opinion, did not deserve first place. The story was to short for a story to be told well you do have to have some character development. When I read a story (even a short story) I want to get to know the characters a little better than what I was able to…

Now this may be the ramblings of an Okie Redneck, but your story Jack was concise wrapped up nicely, allowed for character development and left me wanting more. To bad the story could not be done sixteen pieces at a time. I am hoping that a sequal is coming soon or do I have to wait for the 2006 short story contest…
