Soooo I’m not sure yet if it’s an iTunes thing or a hosting thing. I guess I’m going to have to install that terrible bit of software to find out for myself.

Oh and in that I mean on myself, what people want to do to themselves is their business.
Did you really have a 25mph wind gust? That’s pretty hefty.
Vantage Vue? I’ll have to look that up.
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with my Davis Instruments weather station for the last decade or so.
Curious to know what your setup is Ed and to jj why the love/hate with his setup.
My original station was a “wired” station and was very susceptible to electrical storms. After the first time I had to have it repaired, I bought every piece of surge suppression gear they sold ($$$) and bought big copper rods to drive into the ground to “ground” the whole thing. Big investment that all blew up with-in a year after a nearby lightning strike.
This time, rather then repair the console, I let Davis upsale me into their “wireless” system (more$$$).
After a year or so, I began to have sensor information dropping out. Sent in for more repairs. Problem persisted. Was finally told that excessive humidity was causing the transmitter to intermittently fail and that I should now upgrade to their newest model.
Just to be clear I ask – “So you are telling me that a piece of equipment that you sell for the expressed purpose of installing OUTSIDE to monitor weather conditions … is failing because it is being subjected to outside weather conditions and this ISN’T considered a manufacturer defect?”
They told me that was correct.
Somehow it seemed wrong to by more equipment from them so I have been using the same equipment and gritting my teeth when it occasionally stops sending data.
For the 90% of the time it is functioning, I LOVE IT!
That other 10% though … I want to hear the lamentations of their women.
A 10% chance of Schwarzenegger?
100% of a lamenting Maria Shriver.
Another very sad and tragic example of our failed Mental Health understading
We have quite an interesting Mental Health capability in this country. The lower class have tons of access to astoundingly crappy quality mental health care that they would likely be better off without. The middle class have health insurance that almost never covers mental health care, so can’t be bothered paying for it. The upper class spend all their money on useless new-age garbage.
She was also an addict.
Sadly that’d more apt in this case.

Van and TEB must be observing “Presidents’ Day”.
Work disagreed.
TEB is observing “Family Day” We saw Hansel & Gretel. It was a movie.
I’m observing the presidents today. Or, going to lunch with my girl.
Awwww I JUST read this about 5 minutes before you posted it…
I’ve rarely been late since I bought a Casio G-Shock watch with Waveceptor function.
I haven’t worn a watch since the 90s.
No, I was always late then too.
I’m usually early. I’d rather be 45 minutes early for something than being 5 minutes late. It kind of drives hubby nuts when I’m looking at my watch and hour before we have to be somewhere that’s only 5 minutes away.
Somehow an 11:39am flight got set in my mind as a 1:39pm flight and I nearly missed my plane from Orlando to Houston. My luggage may not be so lucky. Good thing I’m working at the airport all week so I’ll be able to pick it up whenever it decides to arrive.
Should be landing in Phoenix at 4:58 Phoenix local time.
Strangely enough, I just finished watching Superman II with the kids this afternoon. Mr. Stamp has actually aged pretty gracefully.
I was half expecting some Zardoz apparel. *gulp*
As for the weather – it is a Davis Vantage VUE. We’ll see how it holds up, but it’s been going well enough for the month I’ve had it in operation. It is solar powered, so no wiring involved at the instrument. Wireless radio to the console inside, which I have feeding to a computer.
Next step will be to setup a weather camera to go with it. I’ve got a decent view from my balcony of the bayou that runs behind our house.
If it makes it through a season without any hick-ups … I’ll probably be suckered into buying this new one too.
DAMN YOU DAVIS INSTRUMENTS!!
Luggage made it no problems. I’m sure that everyone I’ll be working with will be grateful I have my toothpaste.

Someone NEEDS to actually make that beer.
As well as the Hazelnut flavoured Bailey’s mentioned earlier, I discovered a Malibu clone I was given as a gift goes nice with cheap pineapple juice.
On first read, I thought you were combining all of that in one glass. :barf:
I now recognize (hope?) that the Hazelnut Bailey’s and the Malbui with pineapple are 2 separate drinks.
Yup, Bailey’s and acidic drinks like fruit juice don’t mix well together.
My tastes are changing a bit. I used to be a extra bitter fan. Now I’m leaning more toward unfiltered wheats and ambers.
Really, though, I fear no beer.
I do fear some beers. Never found much need for IPAs. Haven’t yet found a rye beer that I like. Other than that, they’re all great.

A classic example of a film that is like the proverbially curate’s egg.
I was only able to afford a rental car for one day when I’ll be in Phoenix. Plan to stop here to find craft beers when I can drive there unless someone knows of a better place:

Ok I’m showing my naivete here, but what on earth does the women have in her belly button?
http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/02/five-hi-tech-sex-toys-to-give-your-valentines-date-a-little-more-buzz/
You can just ignore the stuff about sex toys if you wish.
By the little mark just above her belly button, I’m assuming she has a pierced belly button. Instead of a ring, she has a jewel or gold piece of some sort held by the post (the post would be the little thing above her belly button)
/shudder
Seriously? That better be a shudder for joy.
Not a great fan of piecing anywhere.

Oh and in that I mean on myself, what people want to do to themselves is their business.

It appears the tumbleweeds are out in force today.
Tumbleweeds?
We dont need no stinkin’ tumbleweeds.
Nope we want fragrant tumbleweeds. Actually I was spending some time completing my Ear Buddy obligations. I just sent them to Jack. 🙂
I think we had some server funny business today.
Well I’m all sorted, God is laughing at my future plans, and I’m watching the first episode of ‘Hit and Miss’..
Well, if anyone cares about the weather in Texas, I’ve finally got my weather station reporting online:
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KTXMANVE3
Yea for weather geekery!!!
Another very sad and tragic example of our failed Mental Health understading
http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/17/showbiz/mindy-mccready-death/?hpt=hp_t1
We have quite an interesting Mental Health capability in this country. The lower class have tons of access to astoundingly crappy quality mental health care that they would likely be better off without. The middle class have health insurance that almost never covers mental health care, so can’t be bothered paying for it. The upper class spend all their money on useless new-age garbage.
She was also an addict.
Sadly that’d more apt in this case.
Dudes, I should have left like 20 minutes ago to go to my girlfriend’s place, but I’m still here, posting on the Deadpan page.
Shh, don’t tell her, OK?
OK, I’m off.
At least the tumbleweeds smell fresh this morning.
I love the smell of tumbleweeds in the morning.

Woot
I look forward to the photographic evidence.

I thought Steve Austin was an American.
Stone cold.
Got dragged to going to see ‘Warm Bodies’ by my sisters, was a pleasant surprise.
Alright, Deadpan. You have your uniform for the next MMMMMeetup

Holy shit theyre opening an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Denver….
What is in the basement of that place?
